Veterinary Technology
The Veterinary Technology program will provide students with the skills and knowledge needed to work as a professional veterinary technician. Areas of study include the nine domains included on the Veterinary Technician Licensing Exam:
- Pharmacy & Pharmacology
- Surgical Nursing;
- Dentistry;
- Laboratory Procedures;
- Animal Care & Nursing;
- Diagnostic Imaging;
- Anesthesia;
- Emergency Medicine & Critical Care and
- Pain Management & Analgesia.
The Veterinary Technology program will provide students with “real world” clinical and laboratory experiences to develop the skills needed to become a valued professional in the field.
Note: Hours Exception (69 for the A.A.S.) approved by the KCTCS Board of Regents in June 2013.
