Automation, Industrial, and Robotics Technology
The Automation, Industrial, and Robotics Technology program provides coursework, competencies, and experiences to prepare students for success in engineering technology, electronics, mechanical, industrial maintenance, CAD, robotics, automation, communications, instrumentation, and telephony. It focuses on preparing students for entry-level electrical and industrial maintenance positions through classroom study of electrical theory and practical lab applications. The program covers maintenance requirements, safety practices, workmanship, and trade principles, training students for multi-skilled maintenance roles in factories, hospitals, hotels, etc., with courses in electricity, machine tool, metal fabrication, and welding. The Associate of Applied Science Degree tracks include Automation and Robotics, Instrumentation, Manufacturing Maintenance, Electronics, and Mechatronics.
