MU 101  (3 credit hours)  
Folk and Traditional Music of the Western Continents  

Designed for non-music majors. The primary purpose of the course is to survey the body of music called ethnic, folk, or 'traditional,' as it is found in Europe, most of Africa, and the Americas, from a geographic approach. Lecture: 3 hours (45 contact hours).
